T2 i-DM Launch and Long-Term Partnerships Strengthen JETOUR’s Malaysia Strategy

JETOUR is strengthening its presence in the Malaysian market through a combination of new products and local partnerships. On September 19, the T2 i-DM was officially launched in Malaysia, adding a plug-in hybrid option to the brand’s local line-up, while partnerships across sports, tourism and owner communities are creating longer-term touchpoints for its “Travel+” strategy.

T2 i-DM Adds to New Energy Line-Up

SUV use in Malaysia covers a range of needs, from urban commuting and family trips to long-distance driving and outdoor activities. The T2 i-DM features an intelligent hybrid system designed to match different driving conditions, while its vehicle-to-load (V2L) function provides power for activities such as camping and other outdoor uses.

For JETOUR, the addition of the new model broadens its local product offering while creating a closer link between its new energy strategy and the travel scenarios that form a key part of its brand positioning.

Malaysia is an important right-hand-drive market within JETOUR’s global operations. With the launch of the T2 i-DM, the brand is offering customers more powertrain options while linking its products to different mobility and travel needs in the local market.

Long-Term Partnerships Build More Brand Touchpoints

Beyond its products, JETOUR is also strengthening its cooperation with local partners. The brand formally signed a memorandum of understanding with Malaysia Marathon covering cooperation from 2027 to 2029, with the signing witnessed by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia. Activities under the partnership will be centred on local travel culture and outdoor lifestyles.

The longer-term partnership provides a framework for JETOUR to move beyond individual event exposure and develop continued engagement with users through sports and outdoor activities.

JETOUR is also working with Tourism Malaysia to co-create a travel-themed film as part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign, highlighting the country’s natural landscapes and cultural diversity.

The collaboration connects vehicle use with destination content and allows JETOUR to use its global user and content networks to bring greater attention to travel experiences in Malaysia.

Owner Community and Conservation Strengthen Local Ecosystem

On the user side, JETOUR has established owner clubs in Malaysia and organised activities including vehicle convoys to encourage greater participation among owners.

The owner community provides a platform for continued communication and experience sharing, while creating opportunities for travel-related services and activities to develop beyond the initial vehicle purchase.

JETOUR has also partnered with the Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia and PULIHARA on turtle and habitat conservation initiatives, incorporating public education and beach-cleaning activities into its travel-related programmes.

During the Sarong Music Run in Kuala Lumpur, JETOUR organised a convoy of about 100 vehicles as part of its engagement with local owners and consumers. On the evening of the event, the company also staged a drone light show over the Petronas Twin Towers featuring the “TRAVEL WITH JETOUR” travel theme, celebrating the conclusion of the Sarong Music Run and building anticipation for the 2026 JETOUR Travel Season and World Tourism Day.

The display echoed the Visit Malaysia 2026 tourism campaign, incorporated local Malaysian travel elements, and conveyed the “Travel+” spirit to audiences in Malaysia and around the world.

“In just eight years, JETOUR has entered more than 100 markets worldwide and traveled alongside over 2.51 million travelers,” Ke Chuandeng said. “This is the strongest foundation for us to continue deepening our ‘Travel+’ strategy.”

The products, local partnerships, owner community and conservation initiatives in Malaysia illustrate how JETOUR is putting its “Travel+” approach into practice in one of its global markets.

Across its markets worldwide, the strategy goes beyond introducing more vehicle models. Building sustained partnerships and maintaining long-term engagement with owners will be important to developing deeper, lasting relationships with local consumers
