KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 28 –– The number of survivors in Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah, Perlis, Johor and Perak badly affected by floods rose to over 37,189 involving 11,385 families in the six states as of 9.32am this morning, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim told Parliament today.
Kelantan accounts for the highest number of flood survivors forced to move to temporary shelters.
More than 35,000 of the total flood survivors are in the east coast state, which is enduring days of torrential rain, Anwar said.
