Ousted Myanmar lawmakers announce 'people's defence force'

BANGKOK: A shadow government of ousted Myanmar lawmakers said Wednesday it has set up a “people's defence force” to protect civilians, as the police and military deploy deadly arms against anti-coup protesters.
