Taiwan cancels flights as weakened Typhoon Chanthu approaches

TAIPEI: Typhoon Chanthu weakened on Saturday as it approached Taiwan's eastern coast and was unlikely to make landfall, meteorologists said, but strong winds left more than 100 flights and ferries cancelled.
