ChatGPT gets its first official mobile app

LOS ANGELES, May 21 — The first official ChatGPT application has finally been launched, in the United States and on iOS to begin with. The app makes it possible to ask questions or to chat with ChatGPT by voice, without having to write prompts.

Since the launch of ChatGPT, in November 2022, many unofficial and more or less dubious mobile applications have appeared. Its publisher, OpenAI, has finally announced the release of an official app, available only on iPhone and only in the United States, for the time being.

It is based on the online version of the service that nearly 200 million users have become accustomed to accessing. In terms of uses, the ChatGPT app answers all kinds of questions, offers customized advice and can even be creative. The application synchronizes your account history, across all devices. Above all, it integrates Whisper, a voice recognition system that allows you to make requests directly by voice. Note that subscribers to ChatGPT Plus have exclusive access to the capabilities of GPT-4, but also a faster response time.

The app is free and guaranteed ad-free, but requires a recent version of iOS (16.1 or later). To make sure no one is left out, an Android version is scheduled to be released soon. In the meantime, you can continue to use the ChatGPT website from a cell phone web browser in order to use its services on the move. — ETX Studio
