IN conjunction with Deepavali, Central Sugars Refinery (CSR) has come up with a short film titled ‘Remember’, to celebrate parents across the country.
This festive season, CSR wants to remind Malaysians of the ones who raised them, guided them and shaped them to become who they are today.
While parents play a major role in their child’s development, some may take it all for granted, thus forgetting the sacrifices parents made in the past.
Hence, the film places emphasis on the importance of treating one’s parents right.
A PARENTS’ LOVE

The story revolves around Geetha and her parents, as they prepare for Deepavali, otherwise known as the Festival of Lights.
Throughout the short film, Geetha is reminded of the many ways her mother taught her simple things, from reading to cooking delicious meals for the family.
However, there comes an instance when Geetha loses her cool with her mother, because of her mother’s lack of knowledge on mobile devices.
This situation is especially relatable for those with parents who have difficulty navigating their way in an ever-changing digital world.
Geetha, however, with the help of her father, has a change of heart. In fact, the heartwarming short film ends with Geetha assisting her mother to contact her relatives during Deepavali.
Ultimately, CSR wants to remind Malaysians how important it is to be present for their parents, as much as they have been a pillar of support before, and even now.

If there is one thing Malaysians can take away from this timely short film, it is to remember who taught us everything in the first place.
CSR would like to wish everyone Happy Deepavali!
